Jan. 26--FORT WORTH -- One by one, five girls took the witness stand Wednesday morning to tell how Jeremiah Sexton of Springtown had sexually assaulted them. Two were relatives of Sexton's, abused on a family trip, they said. One girl from Sexton's former church in Kansas was groped and molested by him "too many times to count," she said at Wednesday's sentencing hearing. Another girl from the church, who said Sexton repeatedly molested her beginning when she was 7 or 8, said Sexton told her to keep the abuse secret or "he would come and hurt me." "I really hate him," said the girl, 15. "I want to see him put away forever." During the two-day trial, eight girls, including two from Arlington and two from Springtown, testified that Sexton abused them. On Wednesday, state District Judge Wayne Salvant sentenced the 24-year-old auto mechanic to 396 years in prison for kidnapping and sexually assaulting one of the Arlington girls, a 9-year-old, as she walked to Anderson Elementary School on Feb. 15.
