DETROIT _ Former Detroit Mackenzie High football coach Bob Dozier is going to the Super Bowl, courtesy of The Bus.

"I've been talking to Jerome every Tuesday," said Dozier, Jerome Bettis' high school coach who lives in El Paso, Texas. "He told me the same thing Gilbert told me: `Coach, I got a ticket for you.' "

Gilbert Brown, a year older than Bettis, played in the Super Bowl for the Green Bay Packers in 1997 and `98.

Dozier was thrilled when Bettis, a 1990 Mackenzie grad, earned his first Super Bowl appearance with Sunday's victory over Denver.
