Gov't open to a new lease for Las Pinas property.

The government said it is open to negotiating for a new lease agreement over an 18-hectare property in Las Pinas where tire marker Goodyear Philippines. Inc. operates.

Trade Secretary Peter B. Favila said the department's investment arm, the National Development Co. (NDC), has already submitted its position and is just awaiting Goodyear's response.

"I want the [Goodyear lease] resolved the soonest. We want to lease it at current market rates," Mr. Favila said.
