Pakistan imported more than 14.467 million kg black tea, worth over Rs 1379.243 million from 16 different countries in December 2005 against 11.590 million kg worth Rs 1131.194 million imported in December 2004.

According to figures available, Kenya, with its 66.52 percent share of total black tea import, remained the main black tea exporting country to Pakistan, exporting more than 9.623 million kg black tea worth Rs 1011.429 million during last month.
