Snappiest dresser

Undoubtedly, this award goes to UKeIG's Gary Horrocks, who interpreted the strict sartorial instructions on the awards evening invitation ("black tie optional") with great elan. Gary's loosely interpreted "schoolboy" look would have gone down particularly well on the dancefloor, conjuring up images of school reunion-type disco outings. But Backchat's spy cameras failed to get a snap of any dancefloor action by our Gary. We did find him earlier in the evening (right), when he was cuddling up with the girls from Elsevier. Well done, that man!

Best autograph hunter

The Royal Lancaster Hotel has two main venues, and next door to the III awards was a star-studded Tribute Evening for former Scottish International rugby player Kenny Logan. This was hosted by Bruce Forsyth, in the presence of Kenny's wife, ITV sports personality Gabby Logan. The reception was an autograph hunter's dream: the Redknapps were there, Lawrence Dallaglio, Wasps star Josh Lewsey. Later in the evening a bit of intermingling between events went on, and Louise Green, the jewel in BvD's crown, found herself chatting with Dragons' Den hunk Peter Jones - she even got an autograph for her ...
