International Bielefeld Conference

This event aims to be an international forum for library and information services managers. The core theme for 2006 will be "rethinking" the role of information services in the digital age. Among the presenters will be Lynne Brindley, chief executive of the British Library, a leading light in this field. There will also be presentations from the director of Google Scholar and members of the university libraries at Cornell and Stanford, both key players in digitisation.

iLME 2006

The Information Lifecycle Management Event (iLME) covers the storage and security of content. Organised by international content management association AIIM, the event will look at the business benefits of effectively managing the creation of information - right through to managing its deletion (expect top tips on shredding).
