Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the influential Scottish architect, was famous for his bold innovations in furniture design. So he would probably have been pleased, says designer Katie Lackie, director of Lackie & Co, that the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Society is taking a similarly innovative approach to the visitor attractions it runs in his name.

The society runs several Mackintosh-designed attractions, such as the Mackintosh Church and the Scotland Street School museum, both in Glasgow. It is also one of the first organisations to introduce mobile devices into its visitor attractions.
