Evaluating Dodge/Chrysler newborns

The Challenger concept in your Jan. 2 cover story is fabulous and looks production-ready. On the other hand, the Chrysler Imperial concept is out of proportion. It looks like the love child of a 300C and Dodge Ram Mega Cab.

Robert Emslie, via e-mail

The big deal to me is that the Challenger concept is a true hardtop without a B-pillar. If it comes to production this way, I will trade in my 300C in a (excuse the term, Mopar fans) heartbeat.

Don Mallinson, Washington, Ill.

Is it possible that the Imperial concept was designed by DCX's subsidiary, Freightliner?

Bob Frederick, Germantown, Md.
