Jan. 11--For the first time in 12 years, the Caldwell County Schools are looking for a new superintendent -- and they're asking for community input in the process. Tom McNeel, 65, the district's leader since 1994, will retire July 1. The school board has embarked on a nationwide search for someone to run the 13,000-student system.
