Hull and the East Riding have come 16th out of more than 100 regions for the highest number of family businesses.
The survey by Yell counted how many businesses had the words "and son" or "and daughter" in the Yellow Pages directory.
FAMILY businesses flourish in Hull and the East Riding, says a national survey.
The region is in the top 20 list of businesses run by parents and their sons or daughters in a poll published by Yell.
To celebrate East Yorkshire's 16th place out of 102 regions in the survey, Yell is looking for the leading family business.
