Taipei, Jan. 10, 2006 (CENS)--Taiwan's cumulative investments in Vietnam topped US$7.6 billion as of the end of 2005, making the island the largest foreign investor in the Southeast Asian nation, according to the Bureau of Foreign Trade under Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). Vigorous Taiwanese investments in Vietnam also caused the island's exports to the Southeastern Asian nation to triple over the past 10 years, to over US$4 billion in 2005.
