Jan. 10--Thailand's spa industry needs to increase the size and quality of its workforce in preparation for opening up the industry to international expansion and foreign investment, says a regional spa expert.
Thailand has established itself as a favourite spa destination of Asia and has the capacity to offer itself as a world-class spa destination, but it should offer a larger variety of services while quickly increasing manpower amid rapid expansion, said Peter Sng, director of the International Spa Association (Ispa) for Asia-Pacific.
