Jan. 10--The decades-old sugar revenue-sharing formula is going to be overhauled along with trading quotas to address market and price distortions in the industry.

Previously sugarcane farmers and mills split revenue 70/30.

Chakramon Phasukvanich, the permanent secretary for the Industry Ministry, chaired a top-level committee meeting yesterday to discuss ways of addressing current sugar shortage.
