Bangchak makes gasohol switch early.

Jan. 10--Bangchak Petroleum Plc, the state-owned oil refiner and retailer, will stop selling premium or octane 95 petrol by June in Bangkok and surrounding provinces, six months before the government's January 2007 deadline to phase out the fuel.
Meanwhile, Energy Minister Viset Choopiban insisted yesterday that ethanol output will be sufficient for blending with premium petrol to make gasohol as an alternative fuel for automobiles this year.
Manoon Siriwan, the executive vice-president of Bangchak, said all premium petrol at its 200 pumps in Greater Bangkok would be replaced with gasohol in June.
