Hanoi, 7 January: Comprehensive cooperation between the two parties, states and peoples of Vietnam and Laos, particularly in the area of foreign affairs, has in recent years yielded considerable achievements, thus helping to cement the diplomatic ties between the two countries. President Tran Duc Luong expressed his appreciation while receiving Laos' Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Somsavat Lengsavat in Hanoi on 6 January.
