Kiev, 6 January: The Naftohaz Ukrayiny state oil and gas company and a join venture it will set up by 1 February will not buy Russian gas through Rosukrenergo A.G. (Switzerland) this year.

"We don't see Russian gas in our gas balance. We don't need it. If we need it at some point then we will hold talks with Rosukrenergo," first deputy chairman of Naftohaz Ukrayiny board, Andriy Lopushanskyy, told journalists today.
