Taipei, Dec. 27, 2005 (CENS)--Taiwan's jobless rate stood at 3.94% in November, the lowest since April of 2001, according to the statistics released by the Cabinet-level Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS)

DGBAS attributed the jobless rate fall to a shrinkage in the number of first-time job seekers failing to find jobs and the number of those becoming jobless because of plant or company closures. In November Taiwan's employed population broke the 10 million mark to hit 10.024 million, edging up 0.31% from a month earlier and up 1.56% from the same month of last year
