Taipei, Dec. 27, 2005 (CENS)--The Ministry of Finance is backtracking from its policy of shrinking tax incentives for hi-tech firms by forcing them to choose one from the two existing options of five-year tax holiday and investment tax incentives, according to Lin Chuan, minister of finance. Lin admits that the timing for making such an important tax revision is not right, saying that it will respect the decision of the Ministry of Economic Affairs on this issue.
