Theravance Inc announced that results of pre-clinical studies with telavancin were presented at the 45th annual Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy (ICAAC) meeting in Washington, DC. Telavancin is a novel lipoglycopeptide injectable antibiotic discovered by Theravance that is currently in development for serious Gram-positive infections including those caused by drug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus strains.
