Jan. 6--The board of Thai Beverage Plc (ThaiBev) yesterday approved the listing of its shares on the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX) but will not give up on the effort to float them on the local bourse as well.

The plan to list abroad will be submitted to the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for approval tomorrow or early next week.

If approved, Thailand's biggest alcoholic drinks producer will start filing with the SGX and the initial public offering will be made this year, company executives said.
