Jan. 5--The value of Thailand's fashion exports is expected to rise by 10 percent this year, due in large part to limits placed on China's exports to the United States and the European Union, according to Tienchai Mahasiri, the president of the Thai Garment Manufacturers Association (TGMA).
Mr Tienchai said local original equipment manufacturer (OEM) producers would receive more orders from international clients shifting from Chinese suppliers to Thai companies that were considered more reliable and efficient.
