Jan. 5--Listed companies should consider raising funds from the bond market to finance new investments and make debt servicing easier, according to Kittiratt Na Ranong, the president of the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
While the bond market typically has been restricted to large blue-chip companies, smaller companies should consider issuing bonds, particularly as bank loan expenses rise with market interest rates.
Mr Kittiratt said the corporate bond market was expected to grow steadily this year, together with warrants, structured products and other financial innovations.
