Jan. 2--"Livable" may be a relative term in a sprawling, chaotic city such as Bangkok, but a few areas do stand out as having good potential for people seeking a better quality of urban life.

Property developers and experts have identified the capital's most desirable areas as the riverside along Rama III Road, Kaset-Nawamin, Rama V-Ratchapruek, Rattanathibet-Chaeng Watthana, and areas along the skytrain and subway routes.
