Jan. 2--The Year of the Dog is likely to be prosperous for many industries, especially those in sectors the government wants to promote as global competitors, say experts.

Sectors such as the automotive, food, information and communications technology (ICT) industries, logistics and supply chain, and education and human resources management will benefit from state policies and a changing economic climate, says Achara Chandrachai, head of the Commerce Department at Chulalongkorn University.
