Jan. 2--The European aircraft maker Airbus has announced an order from Bangkok Airways for six A350 wide-body aircraft to accommodate the carrier's plans to add routes to Europe.
The Airbus A350 is a mid-sized, long-haul plane being developed as a competitor to Boeing's 787 Dreamliner. It is scheduled to begin service in 2010, two years later than the launch of the Dreamliner.
