Jumeirah Village finally swings into action.(UAE)(Brief Article)
Local property developer Nakheel is pressing ahead with its proposed Jumeirah Village development. The project, which is divided into a northern and southern section, was first launched in September 2004.
Contractors have until 18 December to submit bids for the main infrastructure contract at Jumeirah Village north. The 18-month contract includes construction of internal roads, telecommunications infrastructure and potable water, sanitary and drainage systems. Beirut-based Dar al-Handasah (Shair & Partners) is the consultant. The UK's Faith & Gould is the project manager.
