Text of report by Nepalese daily newspaper Nepal Samacharpatra on 31 December

Kathmandu: During the three-month cease-fire announced unilaterally by the Maoists, 24 civilians and 50 security personnel were killed.

The National Human Rights Commission made this figure public on Friday [30 December] based on its field monitoring conducted in 33 districts and relevant surveys done in other districts.
