Oceana wants to secure rights before investing Quotas to be announced next month FISHING group Oceana would make long-term investment decisions once fair and adequate long-term fishing-access rights had been secured, chairman Don Ncube said in its latest annual report.

The environmental affairs and tourism department is in the process of allocating rights starting in 2005-06 for periods ranging for eight years for species such as squid to 15 years for small pelagic fish.
