Dec. 9--The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), mainly used as cooking gas, could rise by as much as nine baht per kilogramme if the government insists on scrapping state subsidies at the end of the year.
The government in July announced it would maintain the price subsidies until December to help minimise the impact of soaring energy prices on households. Cooking gas subsidies have been in place since 2002.
