Packaging firm sheds 4.3% on MAI debut.

Dec. 8--Thai Plaspac posted a disappointing debut on the Market for Alternative Investment yesterday, closing down 4.3 percent from its initial public offering price.
Shares of the plastic packaging company opened trade at 2.90 baht, but fell steadily, with an intraday low of 2.50, to close at 2.68 baht on trade worth 55.74 million baht.
The MAI index closed up 0.5 percent at 158.62, in trade worth 88.9 million baht, while the main Stock Exchange of Thailand index gained another 2.3 percent.
