Dec. 8--Thai shares continued to rally yesterday, gaining 2.31 percent on renewed optimism over economic trends and political stability.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand index closed at 694.87 points, up 15.71, in heavy trade worth 26.45 billion baht. Bank stocks led all gainers, rising 2.87 percent for the day, while energy rose 2.56 percent and property 2.61 percent.
With gains of 5.14 percent over two days, the index is at a three-week high.
