Dec. 8--PTT Chemical aims to balance its corporate culture and business strategy between the aggressive approach to growth of Thai Olefins (TOC) and the more conservative culture of National Petrochemical (NPC).

NPC and TOC, both units of PTT Plc, recently merged into PTT Chemical.

NPC has been a dividend stock with a smooth-running and conservative business model, while TOC had been severely affected by the Asian economic crisis and had been more of a growth stock for investors in the past.
