Springer makes a leap in healthcare.

Springer Science and Business Media has strengthened its presence in the UK and US pharmaceutical publishing market with its acquisition of healthcare group the Current Medicine Group (CMG).
CMG is a leading provider in the clinical and pharmaceutical sectors.
The acquisition marks a shift in focus for STM publisher Springer, which has traditionally targeted its medical publishing at academic audiences. Now it will develop its sponsored publishing activities.
At a stroke, Springer has expanded its portfolio in critical care/emergency medicine, primary care/family medicine and geriatrics, and enhanced its offerings in surgery and radiology.
