Wolters Kluwer has denied continuing rumours that it is in takeover talks with the two giants of STM and business information publishing, Thomson and Reed Elsevier.
In a report in the Financial Times, chief executive, Nancy McKinstry, said the Dutch company had a "very good future as an independent".
