KUALA LUMPUR, Fri. - Child heroes will be in the limelight again - after 28 years.
The "Pingat Hang Tuah", which was discontinued in 1977, will be awarded to those below 18 for bravery and outstanding achievement. The award also carries a RM5,000 cash reward.
Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil said today that the revival of the award would be one way to instil the qualities of the legendary warrior from Malacca in children.
