Dec. 6--When Anukul Charoenkul saw seawater receding before the roaring tidal wave rushed inland in Khao Lak last Boxing Day, it took a split second for him to think of his video camera. The subsequent 30-minute VCDs he produced made his restaurant better known than the food he served.

Unfortunately, according to Mr Anukul, people seem to have quickly forgotten about the tsunami, and the money he made from his VCDs wasn't enough to help keep his restaurant in business.

The Khao Lak Seaview restaurant is due to close on Dec 28 because he can no longer afford the 10,000-baht monthly rent.
