Dec. 2--CAT Telecom board has scrapped its selection process of two candidates up for presidency due to a "lack of required qualifications".
Board chairman Wisut Srisuphan said that the board has asked its selection committee to find new candidates, a process to take between 45-60 days.
The two candidates who had been competing for the post were Somphol Chantraprasert, senior executive vice-president of CAT Telecom, and Mustapha Mun-nga, former Bangkok governor.
But the board decided they did not meet the required qualifications and advised the committee to select new people to vie for the top spot.
CAT has been without a president ...
