Ascott to offer mid-tier units.

Dec. 2--The Ascott Group will bring its mid-tier serviced apartment Citadines to Asia next year, with a goal to have five properties containing a total of 500 units in Thailand by 2010.
The group yesterday announced it had formed several joint ventures with the Boutique Group, owned by the Thakral family, to invest in various properties in Thailand and the region.
The Ascott Group will hold 49 percent in each new venture, which will be responsible for developing the five new properties.
