Dec. 2--Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has been told to raise more revenue from Mice (meeting, incentive, convention, and exhibition) activities.
Deputy prime minister Suwat Liptapalop visited the agency yesterday and said the previous revenue projection of 104.3 billion baht from 1.4 million visitors in 2008 was too low.
To raise the figure, TCEB was directed to increase Mice activities and look for ways to incite these visitors to extend their length of stay. However, Mr Suwat did not tell the agency what figures he wanted to see in the new targets.
