Inflation declines as oil prices ease.

Dec. 2--Inflation in November declined for the first time in 12 months, due to falling oil prices and state controls to keep product prices unchanged.
The consumer price index in November stood at 5.9 percent year-on-year after rising to 6.2 percent in October and 6 percent in September on the back of higher oil and food prices.
Somkid Jatusripitak, the commerce minister and deputy prime minister, said he was relieved to see inflation slow and credited efforts by the Commerce Ministry to contain product prices.
