Dec. 1--The post-paid mobile phone market has become a battlefield for another price war as operators make last-ditch attempts to achieve their sales targets this year.
The post-paid segment has been mostly overshadowed by local operators, who have instead focused on building up their customer base with pre-paid users. This despite the fact that post-paid customers typically offer less turnover and higher revenues for operators than pre-paid ones.
The average monthly revenue per post-paid user amounts to about 1,200 baht for the market, compared with an average of 300 baht for pre-paid customers. At least 80 ...
