Dec. 1--Dayana Bunnag, president of market leader Kasikorn Asset Management, will step down from the company effective Feb 1.

Mrs Dayana, who has headed the company since its founding in 1992, has already tendered her resignation to the company's board.

She declined to comment on her decision to leave the company, saying only that she would take some time to travel with her family in Europe.

"I have been in the asset management field for over 28 years, and have run KASSET since its beginning. We've been able to remain in the top ranks in terms of asset size over the years," Mrs Dayana said.
