FLOYD: First thing I noticed is that I don't need my human shoehorn to get into the car. Clearly, Mazda is thinking many of those early Miata adopters are becoming super-sized, and bigger dudes like myself (that's tall, not lardy) can fit and ride in relative comfort.
On the road the added power is welcome. Above three grand it starts to scoot with authority. Drop the clutch and you can have some burnout fun. Suspension-wise, the GT model isn't bang-over-bumps tight, but plenty connected to the road. Clutch pedal operation is also pretty good; I'd opt for the six-speed gearbox if I was looking to buy.
I like the updated exterior as well. The aggressive fender flares give it a wider, meaner look. The interior is very nice, with neat touches like the shiny black ...
