Jack Lemley, the new chairman of the London 2012 Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA), is prepared to tackle any delivery problems head-on. He is been joined on the ODA by new chief executive David Higgins, currently with English Partnerships. Higgins has Olympic experience; as managing director and chief executive of the Lend Lease Group in Australia he was involved in building the Olympic Village and Aquatic Centre for the Sydney Games in 2000. Speaking at last week's press conference, Lemley said he had got on very well with British construction workers when he was in charge of the Channel Tunnel. "Labour here is marvellous. The workers performed very well on a very difficult project.
