Vietnam prepares to run for UN security council non-permanent membership.

Section: Regional News - Running for a non-permanent membership of the United Nations (UN) Security Council is a consistent policy of Vietnam, which displays its responsibility and desire to contribute to the cause of peace, cooperation and development, said Le Van Bang, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs at a conference held on Nov. 28-29.

It also affirms Vietnam's efforts to take part in more UN and international organisations' activities, he added.
