Five months after joining Quality Distribution as chairman, CEO and president, former Con-Way executive Gerald L. Detter surrendered the latter title to COO Gary R. Enzor.
Enzor was promoted to president days after Quality Distribution, one of the nation's largest tank truck operators, posted disappointing third-quarter results. Weak demand, disruptions caused by Hurricane Katrina and unanticipated insurance costs slashed quarterly profits to $50,000 compared with $2.8 million in the same period last year.
