Yomiuri

Kangol is a brand of caps and hats known for their cute kangaroo logo, although the native Australian marsupial is not the original source of the brand name.

In fact, the name is derived from the "K" in silk, the "ang" in angora, and the "ol" in wool.

The hatmaker did not have this logo until the 1980s, but adopted it when more and more customers in the United States looking to buy the brand mistakenly said they were looking for a "kangaroo" cap.
