Nov. 25--Those who dined at the now defunct Wichita restaurants El Matador and El Torero will know what to expect from Playa Azul, a new Mexican restaurant in Old Town.
Though not related to the former restaurants, Playa Azul's food is quite similar. It even serves molcajetes, the heaven-in-a-clay-pot dish El Torero was known for.
Part of a Oklahoma-based chain of 65 restaurants, Playa Azul (which translates to "blue beach") is in the space formerly occupied by Wichita Smoke House.
