Cosatu joins TAC, churches to stop Rath's 'illegal' trials 'Natural allies' take on government, too Political Editor THE Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) is joining forces with the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) and the South African Council of Churches in a major effort to stop controversial German vitamin salesman Matthias Rath from conducting illegal HIV trials in SA. Cosatu president Willie Madisha said yesterday that the federation intended to back the TAC in its opposition to Rath. He (Rath) must be stopped, Madisha said.
