Section: Investment - Thailand on Saturday signed an agreement on investment promotion and protection with Hong Kong and a free trade area (FTA) agreement with Peru.

Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra witnessed the signing of the agreements in the South Korean city of Pusan on the sideline of the three-day Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, which ended on Saturday.

Mr. Thaksin told TNA reporter after holding talks with Hong Kong's Chief Executive Donald Tsang that Thai and Hong Kong officials would work closer from now on, especially on joint tourism promotional programmes.
